I am a stay at home mom to two boys. In a previous life, I was a mechanical engineer. Now we spend our days learning, discovering, and creating. Many of the ideas I've posted here are my own, and many are borrowed from friends or other blogs. I'm always looking for new ways to reuse things we already have, and you will notice most of our projects are low budget. I hope that means they are accessible for most people, and that you can enjoy some of the things we've done as well! If I got an idea for a project from you, please post a comment, and thank you for the ideas. =)
A few things I love:
I also create educational resources for the classroom and homeschoolers, which was a natural extension for me as we started our homeschooling journey. I love to connect with other homeschoolers and find what works for them! I have a shop on Teachers pay Teachers with a number of freebies you won't find anywhere else, so be sure to check those out!
Start Your Own Shop!
Are you interested in selling educational materials you've created? It's easy and free to get started! I have found that it can take a bit of the burden off of purchasing school supplies. Since I am homeschooling and not earning income at a regular job, the money I earn from selling resource on TpT helps make it possible for me to continue educating my children with high quality materials (many right from TpT). I often encourage friends to open up their own shop - whether you create educational materials, clip art, fonts, or have useful tips to share I am betting you that other people will be interested in them!
